On Thursday, July 11, from 6 to 8PM at the West Whiteland Township Building, the West Chester Area Council of Governments (COG)—representing West Chester Borough, East Bradford Township, East Goshen Township, West Goshen Township, Westtown Township, and West Whiteland Township—will host a public workshop on regional energy planning in the Greater West Chester Area. The COG has set an ambitious goal for the West Chester area to get to 100% renewable electricity by 2035 and 100% renewable energy by 2050. To achieve this goal, we need substantial public input and buy-in. This meeting is likely to be the first of many over the next several decades as our region embarks on this important work. Meeting attendees will therefore play a critical role in guiding this process from the beginning. The meeting will be conducted by Cadmus, a consulting firm specializing in regional energy planning. On behalf of all six municipalities, we look forward to seeing you at the West Whiteland Township Building, 101 Commerce Drive in Exton on July 11th!
