Trash and Recycling

Refuse Collection Information & Guidelines:

A.J. Blosenski will collect three (3) bulk items per house on the last pick up of each month. CFCs must be removed from all refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, and ice makers prior to pick-up. Construction debris and auto parts cannot be accepted for collection. Call 1-800-343-6583 if you have any questions!

Yard Waste

Leaves must be in biodegradable paper bags, and branches much be cut in 3ft. lengths, bundled and tied, and placed at the curb by 7AM on the collection day. Branches must be smaller than 3″ in diameter. No rocks or logs will be taken. Plastic bags will not be taken.

2015 Yard Waste collection dates are on Saturdays: January 10, February 7, March 7, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 7, November 21, and December 12.

Electronic Waste

  • Power failures, possibly for extended periods
  • Road closures
  • Limited availability of food, medicine, or supplies
  • Possible loss of natural gas, unavailability of heating oil
Medications & Prescription Drugs

There is a Medication Return Collection Box in the lobby of the Westtown East Goshen Police Station, 1041 Wilmington Pike. Residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medication M-F from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Recycling

The Township provides a recycling bin for your use. If you have a cracked bin, please bring it in to the Township Municipal building and we will replace it. If you are moving, then please leave the bin for the new owner.

If you are reporting a concern about a road, please note that issues on state-owned and maintained roads in the Township (Routes 3, 352, 926, and 202, Westtown Road, Westbourne Road, S. Concord Road from Oakbourne to Westbourne, and Oakbourne Road from 202 to S. Concord) need to be reported to PennDOT Customer Care. Westtown Township has no jurisdiction on state roads.
